Tim Bogart, Evan Bogart & Gary Randall Launch Indie Music/Film/TV Company
Writer-producer-director Timothy Scott Bogart, songwriter and music publisher Evan Kidd Bogart and TV producer Gary A. Randall have launched Boardwalk Entertainment Group, a media company comprised of five divisions: Boardwalk Films, Boardwalk Television, Boardwalk Records, Boardwalk Publishing and Boardwalk Technology. The company, which is backed by private funding, is designed to be a music-driven operation that empowers artists. Boardwalk already has feature films in the works, including biopic Spinning Gold, and a TV series in production, Majors & Minors, which premieres on The Hub network Sept. 23. Written by Tim Bogart, Spinning Gold is based on the life of Tim and Evan’s late father, Neil Bogart, who founded indie label Casablanca Records in 1974 and is credited with discovering and launching the careers of KISS, Donna Summer and The Village People, among others. Boardwalk’s offices are housed in the same building as Casablanca. Boardwalk Entertainment Group is created very much in the spirit of the original United Artists,” Randall said. Added Tim Bogart, When you walk into the Boardwalk offices, which are in the same space as the original Casablanca Records, you know youre in a community where artists are empowered to create — its the antithesis of a corporate entertainment company.” Boardwalk’s music division includes a record label, a publishing company and a production house that supplies music for the company’s film and television projects. The company has forged alliances with music giant Sonys RCA/Jive Label Group, Bug Music and BMI. Boardwalks technology division is developing products for production and postproduction in film, television, music and digital platforms. The first one, Instant ADR, a mobile Automated Dialogue Replacement device, is in use on TV series for NBC, USA Network, A&E and Syfy.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Watch Online Free
